What’s it all about?
I started cooking in earnest in March 2020 to pass the time. By 2022 there were 4 poodles in my home and I don’t know a single restaurant where 4 poodles (one with a bionic bark) would be welcome. So home cooking is on the cards for the foreseeable future.
The name YatzyFood comes from the Poodle Yatzy who will gladly turn up her nose if served sub-quality food. Don’t compromise (unless you want to compromise, then you should compromise).
This journey and the knowledge that I have acquired would have been impossible without the width and breadth of talented, knowledgeable and outright amazing chefs out there to whom I owe my gratitude. There are too many to list here but writers such as Rick Stein, Olivia Potts are a few worth mentioning.
A large of my intention with this newsletter is therefore to share some of the great recipes and ideas that I have learnt and also developed along the way in a very lighthearted manner in the same way that I have learnt from others.
Hopefully there will also be time for some poodles along the way.
